Things to get oil paint out of brushes?

i dont have any paint thinner, or special soaps to get oil paint out of my brushes. does anyone have any ideas about how i could do this with some things i might have laying around the apt?Things to get oil paint out of brushes?
oil paint takes forever to dry, so I suggest you just go to the nearest art store, even Hobby Lobby and buy some paint thinner. I wouldn't try any home remedies and then end up ruining your brushes.Things to get oil paint out of brushes?
paint thinner is the best. If it is a nylon bristle brush, you could try nail polish remover. If it is an expensive boar's hair brush, you would be better off dipping it back in the paint and then wrapping it in saran wrap or a plastic bag until you can get some paint remover or thinner.

Just keep it wet untoil you can manage to clean it properly
Liquid dish soap works fine.

But, washing oil paint down the drain is bad for the environment.
soak in boiling water or try some rubbing alcohol.
probably fingers
