Use a soft, clean, cotton cloth saturated with fast drying acrylic enamel reducer, or 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner (part no. 08984) This will remove the specs of paint from the truck hood without harming the finish, but it will strip away any car wax that might be on it.
mabey a clay bar or some tar and bug remover if its still fresh.
