Remove oil paint from carpet?

does anyone know a quick easy way to lift black oil paint from a carpet, without causing discoloration, or damage.

looking for a simple remedy, made up of things around the house.

thank you!Remove oil paint from carpet?
i was a faux finisher, and i once kicked over a quart of red oil based paint onto off-white carpet. luckily the homeowner had a couple extra yards of this carpet, and a found a carpet guy to cut out a 18';x18'; square and replace it. it cost me $75. the new patch was slightly lighter, but a couple months of traffic would take care of that. what kind of shag do you have? the thicker the better one can hide a repair. unfortunately there is no solvent that can prevent discoloration. anything will re-activate the black paint and smear it. you can try baby oil and a fine tooth comb, but try it with a q-tip first.Remove oil paint from carpet?
Husband is a painter. The only thing that will take the paint is going to cause discoloration. Goof Off or mineral spirits. Sorry.
With oil based paint I'm afraid you're doomed...best bet is to call in a professional carpet restorer......or get a throw rug which can cover a multitude of sins.....Good Luck.
We have an oil stain on our carpet from previous owners. I have tried everything to get it off. It won't. We have an area rug over it for now. It is a very large stain. We even thought of replacing the area of carpet but it is in an area that we can't. So laminate is our next move.
