How long does it take for oil paint to dry using tupentine?

Because I want to paint on a canvas using oil paints but i'm leaving in a week, so should I start my painting now and somehow take it with me put it in a bag on the plane. Or should I start once i get there? (I'm very impatient I really want to start painting lol)

Thanks! How long does it take for oil paint to dry using tupentine?
Just start it when you get there. But keep in mind the fat over lean rule. That you start with coats that have lot of turpentine and they are very lean and dry quickly maybe even the same day. And as you build up your painting you make the paint thicker by adding more paint and more linseed oil.The first coats or washes Willl be very thin and quick drying and the later ones wil take longer sometimes months to dry. So good luck with your trip and I hope your painting turns out great. How long does it take for oil paint to dry using tupentine?
Start once you get to where you are going, a week or less is not enough time for the oil paint to dry. Turpentine? I use it only to clean my brushes or thinning paint in the early stages for the underpainting. My work can be checked out at hellosanantonio.com under artist name ''Guerro''.
Depends on your style of painting....but I would never risk transporting a painting within a month of painting it. Specially when going on a plane.

I usually do my first draught in acrylics. I'd take that on a plane after 20 minutes ;-)
