What do you use to clean oil paint off brushes when painting pictures?

I tried water and it didnt work well, so do you have to use some kind of chemicalWhat do you use to clean oil paint off brushes when painting pictures?
I use a mineral spirit called Turpenoid Natural. Its not harmful with fumes and does a great job of cleaning brushes. It also has a citrus smell, so don't get it mixed up with your OJ. YUCK!

You can find it at Hobby Lobby or Michael's or places like that. Its in a green tin rectangular can. What do you use to clean oil paint off brushes when painting pictures?
Turpentine or a paint thinner. Oil and water don't mix, remember? ALSO, when you are cleaning them use an oil soap- like Murphy's or goo gone.
turpentine.
use mineral spirits for oil-base paint
You can't use H2O because oil and water don't mix. You need a solvent such as Turpentine or Turpenoid. I reccomend Turpenoid because it's safer to use. You can get it at your local art store or hardware store. Make sure you pay attention to the storing instructions as it is combustable.

If you want something to make your paints more fluid while you paint, use linseed oil.
Turpentine. Lived with it for years with my dad (an art master) whose primary medium is oil.

Available at any arts and crafts store.
