What's the difference between oil paint, acrylic paint and watercolor paint?

What's the difference between oil paint, acrylic paint and watercolor paint?

Which one would be best for painting on wood and glass? What's the difference between oil paint, acrylic paint and watercolor paint?
They all have different textures and finishes

Oil- A thick paint that takes ageees to dry, but is very versatile when wanting to layer and crate texture to a painting.

Acrylic- Acrylic has a plastic like finish and is a very easy paint to use and to mix different colours with, dries quickly but you can then paint over it.

Watercolour- watercolours are a flimsy paints which, like their name suggests, need to have water added to them in order to blend. Great for landscapes.

As for painting wood and glass you may want to invest in pecific paint made for painting glass, and gloss for wood (if painting things like skirting boards)
