Things You鈥檒l Need:

Oil paint stained clothing

Dish Soap

Water

Elbow Grease :)

Step1

You have to clean the stain as soon as possible. The sooner, the better.

Step2

Liquid Dish Soap is oil based, so it can help remove the oil paint stain.

Step3

Saturate stained area with liquid dish soap, let it sit for a few minutes. Then, using your fingernail, scrape away at the area to remove the stain.

Rinse off area and repeat if necessary.

Tips :

Try to get rid of stain as soon as possible.

Dish soap also helps to wash off the oil paint that sticks to your arms if you are a messy painter like me.

once the oil stain is dry, this probably will not work, But luckily oil takes a while to dry completely. Do it as soon as possible! Can you get oil paint to come out of clothing?
If the stain is fresh, I recommend taking your shirt to a dry cleaners and begging for their help. Why? Well, I looked at my favorite stain-removal guide, found here:

http://www.human.cornell.edu/TXA/Outreac鈥?/a>

And their recommendations for removing oil paint rely on ingredients that you'll probably find only at a dry cleaner. Specifically, they suggest dry-cleaning fluid and other solvents. If you have clear turpentine or paint thinner and it won't hurt your shirt, you can do this at home.

Going by the Cornell book here, it sounds like you need to follow the procedures in this order: Stain Group 1, then Stain Group 7. Group 1 is oil-based stains, and 7 is pigment-based stains. Often stains are made of more than one thing, like oil paint.

Best wishes.
I suggest you just spray it with stain removal spray for clothing, you know like spree etc.... Let it sit for about 5 minutes then wash in the washing machine with warm water.
