How do i get oil paint out of my hands/fingers?

I think i also have some turpentine on it and some oil paint has seeped into my finger prints...i've washed several timse with warm water and soap...do you think its okay to take my contact lenses out?How do i get oil paint out of my hands/fingers?

If it hasn't dried just wipe off the excess and wash with soap and water.

If its on your fingers and won't come off totally after the preceding routine use a little solvent (paint thinner, turpentine, etc), to remove the residue then wash thoroughly. You can buy thinners for oil painters today that are non-toxic (citrus based) which are water soluble and easy to remove.

You have got nothing in your fingerprints. Your skin may have absorbed some of the chemical ( which is why most artists today use non-toxic agents), but anything left on the surface has been flushed away. If you see any color on your skin it is only color not turp. or oil.

Take your contacts out. You will, after all. be cleaning them well before replacing them. Right? How do i get oil paint out of my hands/fingers?
Don't try to take your contact lenses out just yet.

You've got the right idea, you just need a bit of patience.

You know how your skin soaks up the water when you've been in the bath too long?

That's what you should be aiming for.
I use a cleaner called ';GOJO'; that I get at auto supply stores and hardware stores. It is made to help mechanics get grease and oil off so it works great for oil paint. It has some grit to to it and has orange oil.
