Why are people too lazy to use oil paint?

Why are so many people too lazy to use oil/Alkyd paint?

Really, washing your hands and brushes with a bit of Varsol is not a terrible chore. Or here si an idea...toss the god damed brush, they are cheap and not really reusable anyways.

Alkyd paint is so much nicer, its thick, water proof, better adhesion, and less prone to wear from foot traffic?

Why are people too lazy to wash with varsol and too delicate to handle the fumes? Dont you want your paint job to last?

Oh, and on the same note, why are so many people too lazy to prime?

I do this kind of work on and off, and it never ceased to amaze me how lazy people are and how much shoddy work they do out of being lazy. Why are people too lazy to use oil paint?
its called instant gradification , i want to be able to clean it fast and easy...and i dont want to have to wait for it to dry......... thats boring....so what if i have to do it again in 2 years i probably wont like that color by then anyhow. its simply that people dont want quallity anymore, they want it quick, fast, and in a hurry! im with you on this one but with me it goes much deeper.........there are no such things as craftsman out there any more. '; ive done that once, so now im an expert'; dumb-a$$e$... sorry got carried away..............yes plain lazy is deffinitely the way to go in this wonderful world, that are hard-working, quallity giving, pride wearing, true craftsmen, fore-fathers gave to us......i for one of many are on your side...........Why are people too lazy to use oil paint?
I use acrylic. I've tried oils and they're ok...but with the type of painting I do....oils take MUCH too long to dry.

It's not laziness...it's a matter of preference. If you'd rather use oils, good for you. I don't consider any of the work I've done ';shoddy'; and I've NEVER had any complaints from anyone else either.
