What is thicker oil paint or acrylic color paint?

I want to paint something black with yellow and orange on top of that so which is thicker than the other? Acrylics or oilsWhat is thicker oil paint or acrylic color paint?
acrylic can bear being thick better than oil. also, there are lots of things (check your art supply store) that you can mix in with acrylic to make it very thick and textured. oil has a much more fragile chemical balance. What is thicker oil paint or acrylic color paint?
oil s thicker n it takes more time to dry

so if u want to paint somethin black, use acrylic as the base cause it wil dry faster and then on top of it u can use yellow and orange oil colors

try it and see how it turns out to be
Acrylics are much thicker b/c you can pile them on top of each other over and over without bleeding. I love the way i can get acrylic to stick an inch off the page without it moving..................
Oil Paints can Bleed. Acrylic paints do not.

If you plan to paint the colors yellow and orange on top of the color black, I would use acrylics.

Acrylic colors are a pigment color suspended in a acrylic polymer media and will seal its self in a acrylic plastic cacoon.

This will not allow the black pigment to bleed in to the yellow or orange colors, altough you must allow time for the paint to cure between colors for this to happen,or you will be bending the colors together.

To increase intensity of the yellow and orange colors on top of the black you might want to place a base coat of acrylic white on top of the black areas where you plan to place the others colors.

Acrylic colors such as red and yellow are light , warm color hues and have a tendency to allow the dark, cool color hues such as black and blue or green to show through.

Which will darken or change the hues true intensity.

This will happen even with oil paints.

To seal a oil painting and artist try to keep oil collors from bleeding , artist use a varnish such as copal or darmar, leenseed.

This is often used to give the colors different intensities as well by adding lamp black to the varnish.

Acrylics have a added avantage of allowing a more rapid build up of texture and media on a canvas, giving the painting depth or features a surreal look.

Acrylics can be sealed with a transparent finish acrylic polymer matte, simi gloss, to gloss finish.

Oil paint is a media not for the faint of heart and can achieve very bold and dramatic results, to master this media takes skill and patience, it is the media of the old masters.

Arcylics are great for speed and texture and lend a free way to express emotion, renders iself well to the contrasting hues and is a media of more recent new masters artistic periods.

Some other color medias are grouche(goat Milk), tempra(egg), Resin.

When you said thicker I did take it you ment Viscosity. I took it you ment which would cover best.
If you want to cover a dark colour with a light one, this will depend more on which pigment you choose than which medium. You will need a completely opaque yellow, and the only one is Cadmium Yellow, available in both oil and acrylic. No other yellow will cover as well with just one layer.

Keep in mind acrylics will dry much faster than oils, so your project will be done faster in acrylics.
